As such, it cannot remove the natural pigment of the hair, and is not able to color hair to a lighter shade. However, it is much less damaging to the hair then the permanent one.
Permanent hair dye contains ammonia as an alkalizing agent, with a highly concentrated developer and lighteners to remove the original hair pigmentation and to bring out the color of the new hair shade.
